Mariana Storto is our Campaign Manager here at Scorebuddy but, more importantly, she’s a dog lover, a sitcom enthusiast, and a travel fanatic. Read Mariana’s Q&A to find out how she ended up working at Scorebuddy and what her day-to-day routine looks like.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Mariana, I’m Brazilian and I’ve been living in Dublin since August 2022.
When did you join Scorebuddy?
I joined Scorebuddy at the end of August 2022.
What is your background? Where did you come from?
I’m Brazilian, I lived there for 24 years, then 6 months in Italy, and now I’ve been in Ireland for 9 months.
Describe your typical day.
I’m in charge of webinars and campaigns here and my tasks for the day are different based on how far we are in the webinar planning and the campaign progress. Some of my tasks are planning promotional strategies for the webinars, planning and writing email cadences for the campaigns, aligning tasks and next steps with the sales team, and optimizing existing campaigns.
What do you like most about your job?
I love working at Scorebuddy because everyone is really nice and welcoming. We work together, help each other and have fun moments during work—which makes work life a lot easier.
What are you passionate about?
I love talking to people about their life and experiences, so I can spend a lot of time just chatting.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Sitcoms like Friends, The Office, The Big Bang Theory, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I’ve watched all of them more than once.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a singer! I love music and I love to sing, but I’m not good at it, so I’m glad I did not invest in this career.
What’s your ideal way to spend the weekend?
Probably traveling somewhere I’ve never been before. It doesn’t matter if it’s to the beach, to the mountains, or even to a big city. The only thing that matters is that I see new places.
Are you reading anything interesting right now?
Right now, I’m reading Three Act Tragedy by Agatha Christie. I love the Hercule Poirot novels.
Are you binging on any shows?
I’m finally watching Modern Family, after 2 years of stalling, and I regret stalling. I’m having the best time watching the show, Phil is my favorite character.
Do you have any pets?
I do have a border collie. Her name is Gaia, but she lives with my parents in Brazil. Here’s a picture of her:
